UPDATE: So last night I went home, tried different HDMI cables to see if maybe some were better than others(I have amazon basic HDMI cables and other random HDMI cables) and got the same results. I have a 4K Vizio, and my cousin has an LG and a Samsung 4K TVs.Īgain, my emulators run amazing on my laptop but as soon as I connect it to a TV, they're slow and choppy. Also, this happened to me when I brought my lap top to my cousin's house on both of his TVs. I thought it was maybe, but I turned the "game mode" off and on to see and it did nothing. I sat there next to the TV and would have a game running then plug the cable in, unplug it, plug it in. But as soon as I unplug it, the emulator runs perfect. What is odd is that as soon as I connect my lap top and TV via HDMI and start up certain emulators, they're slow and choppy. So with that being said, the lap top can run things decently. I can run the current Dolphin emulator at 5K resolution with x16 anisotropic filtering. I can run current games with pretty high settings as well as emulators with high settings. Here are my specs: -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ (Quad-Core, 6MB Cache, up to 3.8GHz w/ Turbo Boost) -16GB, DDR4, 2400MHz -NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GTX 1060 with 6GB GDDR5 So I use my 13 R3 for my emulation station and I connect it to my TV via HDMI.
